As a British cargo ship, the Mayflower was not big, 95 feet in length and displaced 180 tons. She is well known for its voyage to North America in 1620.
On August 15, 1620, the Mayflower set sail from Plymouth, England , headed for North Virginia, with a Pilgrim colony of 102 people on board, crossed the Atlantic in 67 days, 3000 miles.
Due to the stormy weather and primitive navigation techniques, the vessel landed in Cape Cod failed to their intended destination, after a few weeks, the Pilgrims disembarked from the ship and settled in New Plymouth for their new home (where later become the United States of America.)
