HMS Victory, the ultimate British fighting vessel, 227 feet in length with 104 guns and carried 850 men when at full capacity.
Started life in 1778, first captained by the famous Admiral Horatio Nelson, as his flagship, she successfully defeated the French at the " Battle of Trafalgar " on 21 October 1805.
After further service in the Baltic and off the coast of Spain, she was put into reserve in 1812 in Portsmouth.
HMS Victory saw almost constant service from 1778 to 1812, now she has been completely restored and is permanently berthed in Portsmouth Harbor England, which can still be visited today.
